I am a student studying a 'Foundation degree in creative arts for employment' in Cheshire.
My work is Print and textile based. I use a variety of papers and fabrics to screen print my images onto. I then use stitch and collage to adapt and complete my images.
I gain inspiration for my work from a variety of sources. Most of which so far have been through landscapes, and places of special interest to myself.
I began looking at Rural landscape, in particular the colours. I chose numerous bright and bold flowers to photograph and print. This gave me a chance to further experiment with ink colour, fabric colours and pattern and even cotton colour used on my work.
I have then recently visited St.Ives in Cornwall, a place of strong interest and inspiration to me. Again, I have had the chance to play around with materials and colours to bring out new pieces of work from my existing photographs. |
