| Through her fine art and fine art photography, Danielle Nelisse fuses intellect with street saavy to explore moody and abstract scenarios, both in oil paintings and photographs, that reflect the meditative images of the world that live in her imagination. Her oil paintings have been described as abstract impressionistic as well as post impressionistic, sometimes with interesting cubist elements.
Contemporary artist Danielle Nelisse (formerly Homant) was born in Detroit, Michigan and is a direct descendent of the Aumand dit Francoeur family in Strasbourg, France. She has worked as a labor negotiator, private investigator, lawyer and mother. After studying law and art in Florence, Italy and Strasbourg, France, she studied oil painting and composition with internationally reknown fine artist Herb Dubin ( www.dubingallery.com ), a graduate of the University of Southern California in Fine Arts and Architecture.
