Deborah English is an artist with homes in Baltimore, Maryland and rural East Texas. A life long interest in the cattle business has provided inspiration for much of her work. Yet, as a figurative painter, she finds subject matter in all the world around her; her oeuvre contains landscapes, animal paintings, figure paintings and still life. She is attracted by the interstices of the natural and man-made worlds. Recently, she has turned her attention to wildlife and birds.
She is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (cum laude), and has exhibitied consistently in the two decades since finishing there. In addition to her gallery exhibitions, her work has appeared in numerous charity events, with such venues as the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore and the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland.
