| Hi. I started painting in 2003 when my brother, Jacob, died on Rosh Hashanah. I was grieving and decided to paint to relieve some of the severe grief feelings. I knew from experience that if you keep your mind and hands busy it helps. So I decided to paint for a bit. Since it was just around High Holy Days that was what was on my mind and I painted some High Holy Days scenes. My friends were really impressed. They told me to keep it up, even bought some of the paintings. I did keep it up, even after I became visually impaired due to pseudo-tumor cerebri. It was very hard to learn to paint with some major sight impairment. But I did learn. And my paintings now are better than before I lost my sight, as I learned to try harder and even well over compensated for my deficiency. But this is a good thing.
I walk with a walker, and I have numerous chronic health concerns which I will not go into here. But I am happy and do the best I can for myself.
Thank you for taking the time to browse my site.... |
