About

My name is Heather and I am 24 years old. I come from a very artistic family and have been immersed in art since childhood. I studied studio art in college and have a Bachelors of Science in Fine Art at Illinois State University. I enjoy experimenting with the tactility of paint and the interplay of different mediums. My art is composed of mysterious subtleties of color and texture. I focus on the natural play of paint as a movement of rhythmic proportions and the intense use of color to provide the work with an element of illusion and to create vibrations to the eye. I generally like to work with subjects of common nature. I like to zoom into objectify the simplicity of a specific object as well as the color play. I layer color in the form of different painting techniques to the point that it makes an exaggerated pattern.
