Thermal Images Hugh is exploring the art of thermal photography. He rarely alters the images as they are eye catching in their natural state. This honest approach helps introduce the public, to the very real and mysterious world of infrared light.

Hugh Johnson 
Hugh Johnson Hugh was born in Canada and started oil painting in his teens with supplies handed down from his grandfather. A Bachelor of Arts degree was obtained from Trent University and a real estate firm was created soon afterwards. In 2002 he sailed a catamaran down the eastern seaboard and has resided in Key West since. In addition to being taught by Sanford Birdsey, he has taken courses through the Studios of Key West, with Don Andrews and Frank Webb. A broad brush style is preferred, which usually allows viewers to do some interpretation. Many local scenes, subjects and tropical colors are evident in his paintings. Hugh is also a thermographer. His striking thermal images are seldom altered, as they are eye catching in their natural state. This honest approach helps introduce people to the very real and mysterious world of infrared.
