the ART of JUN JAMOSMOS

Artist directory :: the ART of JUN JAMOSMOS

I was born into this world with nothing and I shall depart from this world taking nothing with me. But between now and eternity, I shall give God the glory for the special talent He has given me.-(Jun)

Galleries

New Artwork These are some of my latest artworks - either just recently off the easel or completed for a particular project.

Jars My best - selling paintings are from these favorite subject.

Portraits I started doing portraits again in 2006 after being dormant as a portrait artist for more than 25 years.

Inspirational Nothing is more meaningful than painting for God and giving back the talent to the Giver. There is much joy in painting for an audience of ONE and knowing that you can do so freely with sweet abandon.

Still-Life I paint from actual scenery, individual pictures or collage of pictures, and also from memory of a favorite scene or object.

Art Collaborations This gallery is a compilation of my art collaborations with my daughter, Asia, who started to paint when she was 2 yrs old. Most of the paintings here, if not all, were done when she was ~2.5 - 3 years old.

In Action  This gallery features some photo shots of a paintings's progression. I will be updating this page more often for photo-captured projects.

Greeting Cards Now available online are blank greeting cards of my paintings. Custom-made per order and any six images of your choice.

About

JUN JAMOSMOS
"...every subject I paint invokes a call to a journey that doesn't stop with and in the canvas. For beyond I see freedom... Jun’s favorite media are oil and acrylic. In either of these versatile medium, he approaches his still-life paintings with a broad, down-to-earth touch, grouping objects in scenarios that convey warm and comfortable domesticity. Simplicity in his composition resonates who he is - a minimalist in most aspects of his life. His portraits also capture simple snapshots of the everyday in the life of just about anyone –from farmers to children to dancers. Jun is drawn to simple and plain objects. But more than what meets the eye, he paints to find and depict deeper meaning in his subjects. His inspiration stems from the beauty of God’s creation and the wonder of His mighty love for us. Jun tries to reflect the grandeur of His creation by painting the simple and common things in life. He echoes the uniqueness and individuality of how each one of us is created differently, in the warm earth...
