| Janet is a working, teaching fused glass and kiln forming artist creating unique, colorful one-of-a kind custom designs. Her newest work consists of intricate pattens of cane created in a vitrigraph kiln. The cane is then kilnformed into panels and blown vessels. Colors, patterns, textures, and shapes create a kaleidoscope
of brilliantly colored glass.
Biography : Janet Foley is a visual artist working with fused and kilnformed glass. She has taught fused glass techniques for over ten years. Janet has had the pleasure of working in the public schools with K-12 classes, Youth at Risk programs and in adult education programs. In 2007 Janet was selected by the Washington State Arts Commission to join the Roster of Teaching Artists. http://www.arts.wa.gov/education/roster/foley.shtml . She also has a background in Early Childhood Education. Foley serves as a consultant to both teachers and artists, setting up fused glass programs in the schools and acting as a technical consultant on artist projects.... |
