| I became passionate about the visual arts since I was a teenager, and when I graduated from HS, I went to medical school...two years later, I dropped out. However, studying anatomy gave me a great insight and when I enrolled in Fine Arts School, it was one of my great tools to become a very skillful drafter. Five years at The National University School of Fine Arts in Bogota, Colombia, were the most pleasant and productive years of my early twenties..and from there, with a full scholarship and no money, I went to Paris, France to enroll in the famous Atelier 17 of Etching and Engraving for two years. So endurance and desire has been for years the beacon of my years as an artist. I have done all kind of odd jobs, where the mind and heart of the artist is always present. I used to teach painting and drawing in Colombia. I live now in Davie, Florida. My expertise in portraiture has given me recognition wherever I had the chance to exhibit my art work...the language of a human face is something that it is worth... |
