Joyous women and inquisitive animals have been the focus of my creative work.
I am interested in the form and strength of a gesture along with the effects of wind and the resultant movement on figure or feather.
With this in mind I most often work in wax that that will be directly transformed onto bronze utilizing the lost wax process. The result is a one of a kind, a unique, bronze.
At times I decide that some of these wax sculptures that I have created will be molded and cast as a limited edition at foundries in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
I live in Corrales, New Mexico and at times seem surrounded by ravens swooping and cawing. After years of observation, I started on a work in clay that became my “Cantankerous Raven”. She definitely was female demanding the center of attention while I continued to work with my joyous women.
