I began taking photographs as a way to document some cave exploring adventures as a teenager.  That soon developed into numerous nature photographs and snapshots of my partners in crime, or friends, I should say.  I was always a rather creative child and a daydreamer much to my father's dismay, although he was the one with the artistic genes that I inherited.  I was also drawn to science and science fiction as far back as I could remember. I Suppose, that is why I started out my college studies in the scientific field of geology. But soon, my artist personality gained the upper hand and turned me to painting and drawing and then on to photography.       I'm drawn to simple as well as complex iconographic images, primitive, and naive art.  Symbolism and Surrealism was a favorite subject as an art student and was an enormous influence on my artistic development.
