| I am an accidental photographer. As a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of four children, the wife of my college sweetheart, and a student of forensic science, the last thing I thought I would be when I grew up was a photographer. But here I am.
In 2006, I purchased an upper-level, point-and-shoot digital camera after losing our step-above-a-disposable camera in a move. I was in the process of writing an elementary science curriculum at the time and one day I found myself suffering from writer's block, so I grabbed my camera and started playing with all the features it had to offer. I was hooked. My alone time began consisting of hikes through the woods, drives to nearby towns, and strolls through graveyards... all with camera in tow.
Photography makes me stop and look, really look, at the world and my place in it. Because that's what my photography is... one woman's perspective of the world's beauty.
