| A realist and detail-oriented with her creations, Lia enjoys creating art using a variety of media with pastels, colored pencils, and pen and ink being her favorite in rendering beautiful portraits of people and animals. She also loves to create computer graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Lia enjoys visiting art galleries, museums, and shows and studying beautiful works of art.
Lia, who has been deaf since birth, has loved to draw and paint since she was four years old. She grew up in Southern California and attended high school in Mexico. She then received technical training and graduated with degrees in Liberal Arts and Science, Illustration and Pictorial Arts-Painting from Palomar College in San Marcos, California.
