Short story:
I love people. I love taking photos. It follows, then, that I love taking photos of people. :)
Longer story:
I've spent a good deal of my life trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, and though the specifics are still nebulous, I'm learning more and more about the simple act of pursuing my passions.
Simple. Not easy.
A convergence of circumstances in the last several months has brought a long-harbored love of photography to the 'fore, and what has been a hobby is metamorphosing into an avocation. A voice of experience advised me to choose a genre. After much consideration, I choose... people. A broad choice, I know. Still, every person has a story, and I find profound satisfaction in capturing images that offer a glimpse into the depth of the story.

| | (re)connecting As I upload images from my first senior portrait shoot a couple of weeks ago, I can't help smiling. Caleb is the son (just a little over a month older than my firstborn)of a friend from years ago, with whom I've only recently reconnected (via facebook). It was such a delight to hang out with their family for a few hours, for the first time since the kids were little. |
