About

Alphakitn
Born on a horse ranch in California to a Jewish American Princess from Brooklyn and an Irish Catholic Bayou Man from Louisiana (long story) I've been a gitana all my life. Dad worked on the race track with Thoroughbreds so we followed the sun. By the time I was 16 I'd lived in 13 different places including a year in Israel. Art and books were my refuge from "newkidinschoolitis". Mostly self taught, I did attend The School of Visual Arts to learn silk screening and The Arts Students League for lithography and etching. I presently live and work in...Yeah Brooklyn!!!

MYANMAR (BURMA)
I have long followed Aung San Suu Kyi and when you read more about her and the struggles of Myanmar you'll know why I have her on one of the T-shirts in the "100 PENNIES" section. Here's a TIMELINE.......................................................... http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSBKK24904220070927 AUNG SAN SUU KYI http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/1991/kyi-bio.html MYANMAR NOW http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSB58859920070927 AND WE'RE ALL ABOUT...
IGNORENCE IS NOT BLISS
AND SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN... I BELIEVE THERE ARE MORE INSTANCES OF THE ABRIDGEMENT OF THE FREEDOM OF THE PEOPLE BY GRADUAL AND SILENT ENCROACHMENTS OF THOSE IN POWER THAN BY VIOLENT AND SUDDEN USURPTIONS. DICK!!!
Well the 4th Estate might be kaput but there's always the 4th branch of government. As follows the Washington Post, 4 part article on Dick Cheney. You might want to print it out. Makes great reading at the beach! After you throw up you can cover it with sand. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/cheney/chapters/chapter_1/ http://blog.washingtonpost.com/cheney/chapters/pushing_the_envelope_on_presi/ http://blog.washingtonpost.com/cheney/chapters/a_strong_push_from_back_stage/index.html...
Great Quote!
The characteristic of heroism is it's persistency. All men have wandering impulses, fits, and starts of generosity. But when you have chosen your part, abide by it, and do not weakly try to reconcile yourself with the world. The heroic cannot be the common, nor the common the heroic.
