| Louis Pretorius was born in Middelburg in the Karoo and grew up in Cape Town.He became a teacher in 1966 and started his art in 1971.
He also studied art through UNISA
For more than 30 years he has had many exhibitions in South Africa in towns like: Pietersburg. King William’s Town, Hartenbos,Mosselbaai, Melkbosstrand,etc.
Louis Pretorius is married to Emmie and since 1990 resides in Melkbosstrand.
