| Born in 1939, L. Shankara Narayana Achar lives and works in Mysore, India. His Artistic talent and creativity are evident in all his art works.
L.S.N Achar is such an artist who has brought to life the characters created by writers in Kannada magazines for over three decades. His works have been published by a number of magazines, including ‘Gokula’, ‘Mallige’, ‘Kailasa’, ‘Janapragathi’, ‘Prajamata’ and ‘Sudha’. Before the more sophisticated color transparencies invaded the magazines. Achar also did a number of cover illustrations.
Though he received no formal training, Achar’s inherent artistic ability was honed by Narayana Achar and later by F.M. Sofi. Having been born at Halladkeri near Mysore, the landscapes and historic buildings provided enough grist to Achar’s talent. He has in fact excelled in landscape paintings of the historic monuments in different parts of the state.
