Custom designed wedding bands in 14KY. One of a kind lost wax cast rings with a 14KW tapered bezel for the diamond.
The surface of the ring is sanded as to contrast with the brightly polished sides and crossing bar that overlaps in the front as would a piece of fabric. I used uneven edges to create softness and a more organic feel even though it looks randomly done, it is not. The nooks are also created for comfort and fit, an important factor for a wide band.

Hesitation and hope mixed with excitement, curiosity and fun. That is how I got into painting with Pastel. Just looking at a box of pastel full of incredibly beautiful colors is enough to enchant my spirit. I discovered this Medium as I studied with Teresa Saia, Janet Hamilton and Karla Matzke. In the past and all through Art School, back in Switzerland, I have studied jewelry design and all major kind of drawing and art composition, 3D clay classes, enameling, jewelry fabrication and diamond and stone setting, within the 4 and a half years / 50 hour per week rigorous training to become a professional jeweler / goldsmith. To be a jeweler was my dream since I was 5 years old! - I am not exactly sure why- however, I have now realized that creating is the need that has to be met. Before I start on any design involving a stone, I am used to stare at the stone and revue in my head what design I am about to create for it. As I was holding this beautiful Turquoise Cabochon I had purchase in a Gem Show last year, I thought of water, maybe a fish on top, a salmon, a swimming trout? Continuing my experiment of recalling images from memory, who knows it may be a good tool to increase my memory in general and it makes me a lot more observant as well, what a joy it is to paint! I may at some point write stories to go with each of my "Subconscious Paintings", I enjoy writing too.
