| This website is designed by and managed by Mary Lee McNutt's daughter and only child, Shielagh. "Mom began drawing and painting in her teens and did so for the rest of her life. Her paintings are so striking and inspirational to many that I wanted to make their images available to my family, friends and the larger community of art lovers." Unless otherwise noted, all paintings are in Hochberg's private collection. The photos below are of Mary and Bob in Westlake, approximately 1975; Mary and Shielagh in Los Angeles, 2001; Shielagh in PA, 2010.

| On Being a Virtual Curator Knowing someone so well that a brushstroke or specific artistic medium can be identified on sight brings with it a loving responsibility. | | Major Contribution to the Gallery! Mary's niece Allison Tate has shared more than 20 images with us of just some of the paintings she owns. | | The Benefits and Challenges of New Technology Whatever we cast upon the waters of the wider world may bring strange things back to shore. | | Welcome to Family and Friends! It's a joy to be creating this tribute to Mary and her art. It actually helps fill in that place of void her passing left to me, giving me a sense of connection to her I haven't felt in some time. Maybe it's turning 60 last summer and being all too aware of the rapid passing of time, with more "if not now, when?" moments. | | Remembering Mary Written by Mary's daughter, Shielagh, in her memory, and begun in the seventh year since her death in 2005 in Camden, Maine, where she was born nearly 84 years earlier. |
