 | | I am fascinated by visual conversations that can occur between images and objects that tangentially relate yet lack a linear retelling. Exploring the gaps between visual perception and modes of representation, and possible interpretation of these objects, provides a rich and fertile arena for my art making. |
 | | I observe and am intrigued by the innumerable lives that coexist in a small space yet pass one another in private seclusion. The grit and hustle of LA has caused me to seek solace and refreshing beauty in new ways. My paintings have been exploring the intersection of private moments and thoughts of individuals as they navigate public spaces. |

| NATHAN HUFF produces paintings, drawings, and sculpture that create freewheeling narratives: personal stories of suspending gravity, traversing emotional vertigo, and sorting reservoirs of memories. He earned an MFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University Long Beach, a degree in art education from Azusa Pacific University, and has also studied art in Italy, France, the UK, and Spain. Actively exhibiting in Los Angels and Abroad, his work has been collected throughout the west by universities, churches, and private individuals. Nathan enjoys working in his art studio above the beautiful cliffs of San Pedro and is privileged to work with art students at Biola and at CSU Long Beach as an adjunct lecturer.
