| Art is indispensable to me. I have always loved it, and for the past several years, it has been my pleasure to create it as well. I paint for recreation, and to adorn my life and home, as well as the homes of others. My goal is simple - to continually grow and challenge myself as my style emerges and develops. I especially love the almost magical “tipping point” that comes when a painting evolves from an awkward mass of colors and transforms into a work of art.
My inspirations are all around me! The birds and flowers of nature, the intrigue of an empty chair in an abandoned room, the inviting image of a cocktail at the end of the day, even the amusing diversity of shoes (what woman doesn’t love shoes?). Whatever the subject, my works feature vibrant colors and bold yet realistic shapes.
Lately I have enjoyed exploring themes by creating series of paintings on a particular subject. I also want to do more work outdoors. It is my hope that you enjoy looking at my paintings as much as I enjoyed... |
