| Artist Biography:
Patricia Elliott Seitz was born in San Diego California, and spent most of her young adulthood living in Southern California. She came from an artistic background of art and music, and always knew that she wanted to be an artist. From age five until she was in her early teens, Seitz was mentored by her mother, an accomplished jewelry designer, and still life painter. In 1973 she began studying with other California local artists, and started seriously selling her paintings at thirteen. At sixteen, Patricia had suffered a serious illness which resulted in the partial loss of her sight. It took her several years to recover, and to reacess her skills as an artist. Seitz developed a different styled approach to her work, and noticed that she enjoyed a more simplistic design in her paintings. In 1993, she was awarded several scholarships in college which enabled her to travel to Arizona, and across the country.
