Paul Davies (London, 1962) lives in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, near Madrid, in Spain. He has exhibited in various galleries and bookshops in the Madrid area and at the ABC No Rio centre in New York.
His work often probes the border between the figurative and the abstract and centres on the natural world and urban landscapes.
He is contributor to Grabado y Edición, a specialist Spanish-language magazine devoted to printmaking ( www.grabadoyedicion.es ).
He is also a student of Zen - under Zen master Tenkei Roshi ( www.zenriver.nl ) - and his work is informed by Buddhist ideas, themes and imagery.
