Bahrain

Cross stitch embroidery inspired by the ancient Palestinian art. The Palestinian embroidery is designs of geometric shapes that fit together according to a calculated matrix. It embraces a harmonic relationship between color and shape.

About the artist
Lama Sakhnini
Lama Sakhnini: Since I was a little girl, I have learnt the cross stitch work from my aunts. I have performed many tapestry pieces inspired by the Palestinian tradition.
