| | Giovanni Scalisi was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1960. One year later his parents returned to Italy where he would spend his formative years exposed to the art and beauty of the venetian landscape. At age eight, the family emigrated to the United States and established roots in Brooklyn. Upon completion of his studies, Giovanni's passion for art and architecture led him to an apprentiship with a master carpenter for six years. He later went on to apprentice with his brother twelve years his senior....
