Ilene Skeen is a native New Yorker, artist and business systems designer. She has degrees in fine art, art education, management, operations research and anthropology. After early retirement at age 56, she received a MA in anthropology from Hunter College with a concentration in the anthropology of art. |

A.Kimberlin Blackburn A.Kimberlin Blackburn was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and educated in New Jersey. She has an MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University and a BA from Livingston College. She has played an active role in 3 nonprofit arts organization, co-producing over 70 exhibitions, and has worked directing, designing, curating, jurying and contributing on all the details toward mounting exhibitions. |

Before I looked at the entrants I consulted Webster’s Dictionary to clarify the possible interpretations of the word “transformation”, which defined transformation as “changes in form, appearance, nature or character”. |

| About Women's Caucus for Art San Diego
The Women's Caucus for Art, founded in 1972, is a national, professional organization devoted to championing the contributions of women in the arts. During 1991, in San Diego, a small group of activist women artists and art historians founded a local chapter in order to inform the public regarding the role of women in the arts throughout history.
