| I was born on Christmas Eve in Minnesota, which has to be the coldest, darkest place on the planet. I grew up on the Florida frontier among the alligators, moved to Texas to be with cowboys, then Utah, Tennessee, Georgia and New Jersey. In the mean time, I graduated from the University of Texas with a pre-med/chemistry degree and went straight into selling welding supplies.
What was I thinking? I moved in the aerospace field, working in a mechanical test laboratory, an instructor for aircraft fabrication, and later as a quality engineer inspecting bombers, fighters and luxury jets. Finally I made it to the top in my field as a lead aerospace assessor with the International Registry of Certified Quality Auditors, and I just snapped. Although I was successful I was not satisfied with my life or work. It was no longer any fun.
So, on Valentines Day 2008, I threw away my snow shovel and headed for Austin, Texas adopted two large floppy dogs and 28-ounce neurotic kitten and decided to find my bliss. It... |
