| For nearly 30 years, Terry Cook has been an educator for Special Education (mentally handicapped and deaf education) and at both elementary and secondary levels for high risk youths. She earned her BS in Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and her Master's Degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
She is a member of SCBWI - Society of Children's Book Writers &Illustrators. Among her achievements, Cook has been recognized as the Seminole County Middle School Teacher of the Year in FL, a Disney Teacheriffic recipient, and a member of the USA-Today, (Gannet Publishing) All-USA Teacher Teams. Terry Cook is a former President of the Women's Caucus for Art, Florida Chapter and has been a workshop presenter at local, state and national levels on how to infuse the arts into curriculum to reach at-risk students.
