| I am an abstract landcape painter. I have traveled extensively and I am very much interested in conveying a sense of time of day and location from various perspectives. Most recently I have been interested in aerial landscape and the sense of pattern that such a perspective conveys. I work primarily in oil on canvas and mostly recently I have been working on wood panels and have incorporated more drawing elements and resin finishes. Additionally, as a long time resident of Maui, Hawaii I am always taken by the beauty of fragility of such an island environment--therefore, environmental or conservational issues are paramount in my thinking, finding its way in to much of the concepts of my abstract landscape work.
I am currently working on two concurrent bodies of work. The first incorporates the organic forms inherent in the wood panel and juxtaposed with the scientific man-made forms of architecture and modeling line forms.
