| The love I have for art and nature has always been there, inside of my core, waiting patiently to emerge... I was born and raised in Connecticut and relocated to North Carolina in 1999, via the US Army. I have always loved to use my hands to create things. I remember being about 7 years old when my parents bought me a children’s pottery wheel. It was made of plastic and not that sturdy, but I loved it, even though all I ever created were lopsided ashtrays! Ever since then, I have always had a love for the craft of clay. It wasn’t until I lived in NC that I ran into someone that was “throwing” pottery on the street. I was mesmerized and for my next birthday my husband bought me my first wheel! From there it has been an exciting love story, with clay as the lead role. It has led me to pursue a degree in art education, in which I now work. It has also guided me in the discovery of other passions such as oils, watercolors, and pencils. I love to create, to teach, and to be around other creative... |
