 | | Colors are the spices of photography. Without colors, life would be, well, black and white... |
 | | I often find shapes and patterns that the casual observer might overlook. |
 | | Here you can find my often entertaining attempts at drawing and images processed to look like drawings. |
 | | Portraits are perhaps my favorite subject in photography since they bring out the subject's personality and convey emotion to the viewer. |
 | | I love to capture people in interesting situations. As opposed to a directed portrait, this gallery shows people in their natural environment. |
 | | The beauty of a great still life photo is its ability to convey a strong message with minimalism. |
 | | This gallery contains photos where living things are the main theme. |
 | | I've been fortunate to be able to travel. This gallery includes shots of the most beautiful places I've been to. |
 | | Here you'll find some of my graphic design work. |

Budapest Hungary
| I have spent the first 3 decades of my life pursuing a path in the software industry. I hold a B.A. from the University of Tel-Aviv in computer sciences and economics. My career choice has led me to move to California in 1997 where I have resided for most of my adult life.
They say that life can be explained through science, religion or art. As a software engineer I have been a man of science but nevertheless have always had an inclination towards art that for most parts was left dormant and unexplored. What started with pencil drawing way back in elementary school has now transformed into the art of photography. I guess this is no coincidence: after all, art comes from within and of all the arts, photography is perhaps the most scientific.
I have studied photography with Jaacob Burnstein once in 1997 and again in 2004. Jaacob is a well-known Israeli photographer and can be seen posing in some of my photos ( Gangster , Photographer , Sadness ). I came to Jaacob knowing very little about photography... |
| 2009 Red Bull Airrace Budapest No, you're not imagining things. This is a small plane going at top speed under the Chain Bridge in Budapest. The bridge is only 10 meters above the water and the plane is going at full speed. | | St. Steven's Day in Budapest - darn good party! August 20th is St. Steven's day in Hungary. Istvan (in the local tongue) was the first king of Hungary and became a saint due to the fact that he converted the country to Christianity. | | Visegrád Visegrád is a small town on the riverbanks of the Danube. The town, which used to be the royal seat of Hungary, rests to the foots of the ruin of a medieval castle that enjoys a commanding view of the river bend. This weekend was Visegrád's annual Medieval Fair and the town's main street was lined with stands selling anything from handcrafted art to traditional foods. | | Neusiedler See The Neusiedler See is a small and shallow "sea" on the border between Austria and Hungary. It is mostly a natures reserve but, as you can see from the picture, you can still go boating on parts of it.
If you go, make sure to visit the nearby town of Rust which is well known for the numerous storks who make their home atop its chimneys. | | Kecskemét Kecskemét is a lovely town about 1hr south of Budapest. It's the 8th largest city in Hungary (which means it is quite small) and has a beautiful central square surrounded by interesting architecture. |
