Quilting has evolved dramatically over centuries but one thing is constant. The comfort of something warm and soft to hold on to while keeping this complicated world at bay. Oh, the simple bliss of wrapping yourself in a quilt, is total comfort!
It takes many hours to construct a quilt of any size. As with any piece of artwork, the end result is worth the effort. The comfort of a quilt is indescribable and irresistable.
I have found in textiles, that Art just happens! Sudden bursts, a release, a magnitude of expression waiting to get out. Out onto something, anything! Recently being cotton sateens or a rough red leather, blue metallic thread stitiching all these lovely yummy things together in some unexpected fashion. Amazed and delighted at the results. I call it
