Click image for full-size view Rosemary Scott-Fishburn is a painter/sculptor who lives and works in Gloucester, MA. A graduate of Gordon College and recipient of the 2000 Excellence in Studio Arts Award, Rosemary’s work is included in several private collections and has been exhibited coast-to-coast, including shows in New York, New Hampshire, several locations in Massachusetts and California, and is included in the Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA) traveling exhibition Bread Upon the Waters, a juried exhibition of prints and drawings, and the MoBia Museum's exhibition, The Next Generation: Art and Faith in the 21st Century in New York City. She was the spring 2002 featured artist in Information Press magazine, and her work has also been featured by Images of Creation, Sustainable Harvest International, as well as on the cover and inset of California-based band Street Choir’s album Forgive and Forget. Rosemary has recently returned from Italy where she was the Program Coordinator for Gordon College’s fine art semester abroad program in Orvieto; while there she enjoyed life in the medieval cliff-top town where she had studied art and Italian language in 1999. Rosemary has also been the Program Coordinator for the California Arts Council’s San Luis Obispo chapter, chairing the poetry committee, writing for the quarterly publication, and running the popular gallery tour, Art After Dark, and also served as the Membership Coordinator and Office Manager for CIVA, the international and premier visual arts organization connecting the artist, the church and the culture. Other interests include gardening, cooking reading until midnight, and working on her house where she lives with her husband, Joshua, a writer. |
