Click image for full-size view These are new paintings from 2007 of the trees I see outside my studio window. City trees are shaped by the pavement, houses, car accidents, and of course the electric companies that top them so they won't interfere with the power lines. Their fragmentation and brokeness fascinates me; they remind me of the architectural ruins I lived around in Italy.
