The Juror, Moya Devine, has made her decision! See her comments below: Dear WCA SD, It took quite a bit of deliberation to jury Telling Stories and even more to come up with the placements.
Dancing Till the End of Time-Artist, Beverly Mills, won Best In Show. It had the balance of representation and inference, movement and static graphic, and intellectual and emotional content to keep me going back for another look.
Harvest-Artist, Elaine Alibrandi, won 1st Prize with a hefty dose of honesty and bravery,
Mr. Magnuson-Artist, Kathy Ostman-Magnusen, 2nd Prize with some outstanding portraiture accompanied by a well written essay accompanying the piece, and Under the Boardwalk-Artist, Margi Weir, 3rd Prize with great use of graphics in a digital format with a very direct message. I thank you all for the opportunity to jury the show. You can't beat a good story. Regards,
