About

WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

I started to paint in High school and later took classes in ll different mediums from a teacher in Marysville, Washington in the early 1960's.  I chose oils as my medium for several years, quit for several years to quilt and came back to painting 4 years ago in Acrylics.

I like to paint what I see and occasionally unusually paintings for something different.  I do seascapes, landscapes, flowers, fantasy, wildlife, underwater scenes and mammals.  Taking photos of various places traveling around the world is a great source for paintings.  Traveled to Far East, Japan, Southeast Asia, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Europe, Paris, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Alaska, Mexico, Caribbean, Bahamas, and 30+ states taking photos to bring back and put on canvas.

I was boarn in Mount Vernon, Washington growing up during the depression and WWII moving as work could be found in Mt Vernon, Anacortes, Bow-Allen and finally to Arlington, Washington where I graduated from high school.  My Husband, Dan and I raised 4 children, have 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  As a NAUI scuba Instructor I have taught around the Puget Sound through Dive shops, Everett Community College, and Juneau, Alaska for over 20 years.  I was a volunteer Firefighter, EMT and Chaplain for Camano Fire Department at Madrona beach for almost 20 years.  I went into Natural Health Therapy treatments, Graduated with Masters in Herbal Medicine as a Herbal Practicioner through Clayton College of Natural Health  and Certified as a Reflexologist from Seattle Reflexology and Massage Center.

I love to garden, hike, swim, read, quilt, play with grandkids, and now painting has become my favoite pastime.
