While my grandparents grew up with the days of Billy Holiday and my parents grew up with the days of the Temptations, I grew up with the days of Hip Hop. Remember Run DMC, Boogie Down Productions, Public Enemy,Whodini,LL Cool J and Slick Rick? A time when Hip Hop had a message that no one could stand in the way of. That message still lives in my art just as it did in theirs.
