| | | Settendown III, Acrylic | | | | One of a handful of Settendown Creek, I wanted one which would play warm greens against cool blues. The mossy quality you see in this painting shows the character of the rocks and bank of the creek, it is indeed a special place. It broke my heart when a sewer line came through and violated it. Now the opposite bank is razed in places, and, unbelieveably, a bare sewage line crosses over the creek just before it reaches this spot. Fortunately, the laurels on our side were spared, and the place is still beautiful.
