| | | Sharing the Laurel Hideaway, Acrylic 24 x 48 | | | | Another view of Settendown Creek, and this one got a little mysterious and fanciful. I was trying to make it look like a fairy's haven, a little secluded spot with laurels overhanging the creek, because it is indeed a hideaway my oldest always used. Enchanting, with the sound of babbling water, the beauty of the laurels, and all of the birds and frogs you can hear. I included a little frog at the bottom right tucked in among the leaf litter, and two pine warblers in the branches of the laurels, to give the place some of its intimate liveliness. I still have this one in my home, it won a prize at an art show and I can't part with it yet!
