Blog

Hi, from 2012

1/24/12

It has indeed been a long time since I've paid attention to this site. I still play with art, but mostly for book covers and magazine covers, including my own books. Lucid Membrane is out from Night Publishing, and Collapsible Horizon is coming out soon from them. The Cabinet of What You Don't See is out from ISMs Press, Watching the Windows Sleep, from Naissance, and Yard Man will be out from Make-Do Publishing in the Fall.

You can see my site if you like, Lucid Membrane.

I also run Exclusive Magazine, LucidPlay Publishing, and the resource site, Experimental Writing. I teach Fiction Writing, and now live in Berkeley.

Much has changed

3/30/10

I am not focusing as much on my art these days, not having the usual several publications at a time any more, as I am putting more attention instead in my writing and teaching. I'm teaching Experimental Fiction writing through UCLA Extension Writers Program, and www.writerscollege.com.

I have over 100 creative writing publications, and just as many non-fiction. I'm promoting the experimental genre, and conducting a contest in it currently.

My chapbook and book will contain several art pieces each, however, and some of my art is now coming out in Carol Novack's short story collection through Crossing Chaos press.

I moved from San Francisco suddenly, with my fiance, to help out my aging father in a crisis. and the art is in SF, though still available.

I have two DVD sets available, however, which are with me, and my book, which can be ordered online. www.LucidPlay.com is a good place to go if you are looking for these useful mind expanders.

Best wishes,
Tantra

My Recent Big Solo Opening in Spain

11/13/05

Hi Tantra.
Long time no speak...

I hope I'm going to make you happy:
TONIGHT we are going to have a vernissage of your works in the fabulous
little bar-T in the caves of Rojales. The programme includes:

Jazz concert

Agua de Valencia (cocktail)

Speech about the war etc. by a Amable Soriano, Poet and philosophy
teacher (REALLY hair-raising excellent very strong stuff! I'm sure you
will love it)

Projection of your digital art in an annex room to the bar

We have sent notice to a lot of press and we are sure we will be covered
at least by a few. I will do my best and try to get as much of the
articles as I possibly can.

Of course you also got your article in the Sismógrafo.

In all cases we used your texts about the war etc and I'm
really happy with what we've done.

I hope you too are.

We also made beautifull small posters with your text in 2 languages an
some invitations to distribute around the area. I attach a copy (in word
format). There you will see the (slightly shortened) text we've used, so
you can see what we've made of the texts and other bits and pieces you
sent us. Please check it out and if there's anything you don't like, let
me know, as I was thinking of uploading that same text into your
catalogue page, to go with the artworks.

I will try and make as much pictures as I can so that you get a taste of
the big party it's going to be tonight.

Give me a few days to upload everything to the web. But you can already
find a bit about the caves and the bar in our site, under the Sala
mengolero link, although this time the exhibition is not in the Sala
mengolero but in the Bar-T itself.

Please let me know your reactions, ok?

AND 10000 sorries for the delay.

Take care and speak soon.

Kai
