My obsession with photography began as a required fine arts elective in college. In my attempt to use up a roll of film for class I haphazardly took a photo of an old plastic bucket in my parents' overgrown garden. My mother was horrified that people would see "garbage" in her backyard but my father thought it was quite good. I have always felt more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, using my skills to make the seemingly ugly into something beautiful.
I am lucky to not only live in a very picturesque area but to travel quite often to other picturesque areas. Water is my biggest inspiration: lakes, rivers, ponds, even rain. You'll see a lot of it in my work.
Thanks for stopping by... I hope you enjoy your time on my site.
