All the actors were shot independantly and in natural light, standing outside of their motel rooms on set, with no artificial lighting. Each image was dropped-out of its background, retouched and the art elements illustrated. This was all accomplished without inconveniencing the cast for a separate studio shot and at a fraction of the cost.
