my name is Tracey, I was born in Westport NZ, 1965 was raised by my mother and grandmother in a very staunchly matriarchal enviroment.
moved extensively, through my childhood, so i never got the chance to sink my roots in anywhere.
I was quite sick as a child which in later years was diagnosed as Epilepsy....... My Allie and my Doctor became my trusty Paint Brushes. Like My Idol Van Gough, i let my emotions set itself out upon my canvases.
I started on Pastels for 5 years in my late teens, in my 20's went into Graphite, moved onto arcylic paints in my 30's, then for the last 9 years have changed on to Oil On Canvas.
I have throughlly enjoyed the most of it all. On the odd occassion my emotions and my illness have lead me to take refuge in the same way Van Gough did, but i haven't come to the stage of chopping my ear off. :)
Since 2004 I have had 6 of my paintings in print with Rembrantd. Of Naiper.
I have been blessed with 3 husbands ( not all at Once might i add), 5 children and 2 beautiful grandchildren.Ooooo. A Shar Pei bitch and a Cat of the same sex and personality.
I've gleaned my inspiration from all aspects of things, My Music, Family, Animals and Nature.
