Ping Pong Baseball is constructed of images of baseball
players from baseball cards laminated on to ping pong balls. Baseball for some
is a sport bigger than life, for many Ping Pong is a sport smaller than life. Baseball players from cards, laminated to ping pong balls
and wrapped in thread. Thread is binding the baseball players to a ball smaller
and more insignificant than baseball players are used to playing with. All materials are recycled.
Softball Fantasy
Softball Fantasy is composed of recycled softballs, paint,
cartoon images and thread. Each ball is painted with high gloss highly
reflective paint. Cartoon images are fused on the ball and thread is wrapped
around the ball. The soft balls represent a sport, which primarily for
children. The cartoon characters represent a childhood entertainment. Thread
binds these items and ideas together. A fun series, they are available as a collection or individually mounted on a rotating CD.
