BEETHOVEN'S NINTH CAT

Music all day long, piano sonatas, string quartets, the close friends over until late at night. A cat wonderland. Mmmm, those Vienna sausages.

This might be what Beethoven's Ninth cat could have looked like. Dressed to the nines, just like Dad. Warm custom tailored wool coat, starched white collar, dashing red scarf.

Of course being a cat was an excellent counterpoint for Ludwig's famous temper (not many people had the Archduke say the rules of court etiquette did not apply to him).  There's a fine line between genius and madness, that's why some people like the calming influence of a good cat.

This 18th Century legend is painted in acrylics on a diminutive 4 by 4 inch stretched canvas and coated with acrylic varnishes to insure the legend lives on.
