Gravity is a good thing most of the time. But when it turns against you, it can be a formidable opponent. Take for instance the ice cream cone, be it soft-serve or hand packed, once the tipping point is reached, there is no going back. A stumble, a trip, maybe just a bad stroke of luck, but once the cream floats to the surface of the earth, the party's over.

I once lost the top of a double dip cone fresh out of Baskin-Robbins to the cement, and a guy got out of his truck as said, "Man, that was sad!"

This day at the beach is painted in acrylics on a 5 by 7 inch stretched gallery wrap canvas, the scene continues on all panels. Then it's coated with several coats of varnish to protect it from almost everything.
