I'm a professional tattooist/artist with a background in anatomy and physiology and movement. Looking for the natural flow of a potential design; whether it be for a tattoo, an illustration, or design for clothing, is what I do. Early in my tattoo career, I was fortunate enough to work for and learn from Leo Zulueta. For those of you not associated with the tattoo community, Leo is considered the Father of the Tribal tattoo movement.
Tribal tattoos were originally reflective of the tattoo designs seen amongst the peoples of Hawaii, Samoa, New Zealand, Tahiti, Marquesas, Tonga, Rapanui, Borneo, Native Americans et al. These tattoos used black or indigo ink against the tones of the skin to createa dyamic expression of contrast.
Over the years as an artist my desire to seek new forms of expressing body flow has grown and even today I am continually exploring these themes with my daily work. There are no design challenges that I will back away from
