I like to sift through bookshops, wander through markets and second hand stores collecting interesting bits of nothing - the ephemeral throw aways (old packaging cases, magazines, textiles, encyclopedias, etc). For myself, these images and objects are unique and intriguing things to be seen all the time - not put away (again) in a cupboard or thrown away.
So, my 'collectings' have become part of my art practice exploring the notions of nostalgia and play, the treasured and the abandoned, the useful and the useless.
My mixed media works take on a print and/or sculptural form, including collage, montage, artists' books and portable boxed art. Enjoy!
