The upper photo shows a big floral arrangement with a large tropical plant leaves. This floral decoration was displayed in the lobby of the hotel in Honolulu (Sheraton Waikiki.to my best memory). Our school often teaches tropical floral design using tropical plant such as monstera. The lower arrangement was designed by Cary Li (one of our graduates currently operating a florist called Petals by Cary) and displayed at a large home party in which we participated to help the floral arrangement project).
It is said that wedding floral decoration business dominates the floral design market. And also we guess funeral flower business has also a pretty high percentage of flower arrangement industry. Besides these larges markets, we find a few important markets we should not forget as mentioned below:
A. Regular sale of cut flowers and simple
arrangement sold at a floral shop
B. Big home party arrangement (big gathering)
C. Big event arrangement (birthday etc)
D. Corporate Arrangement (office decoration)
E. Restaurant, Hotel arrangement
F. Wedding hall, golf course restaurant arrangement
G. Bank front desk and retail shop decoration
H. Other arrangements
Above mentioned arrangements per D.E.F.G MAY all belong to a category of corporate arrangement for which fairly expensive floral decorations made by professional designers are displayed. Most corporations set up annual budget for various expenses in which floral arrangement fees are often included. One of the reasons why our school teaches a broad range of arrangements is that our graduates can have a variety of skills with which they can comply with various needs for floral decorations.
