The design in the center is Ikebana arrangement. The left one is what is called Corner Arrangement. The right one is Heat Shaped Arrangement. All these flower designs were made by our students under the directions of our instructors during real lessons at California Flower Art Academy.
We have been engaged in training a lot of people so that they can earn flower arranging skills and we found various kinds of students among whom there were wedding planners, event organizers and floral shop owners etc. etc. From time to time we found even professionals who wanted to brush up on their flower arranging skills. Some floral shop owners have never taken floral design lessons.
Regardless of their background, experiences, occupation and purpose for learning floral designs, we are more than happy to help. Some students who are already running a floral shop wanted to take lessons. However due to tight cash flow and severe financial situation, they were obliged to work as a florist without a decent skill of floral designs. As seen from this fact, it is possible to run a floral shop UNLESS the shop owner is highly quality design oriented. Rather than skill of floral arranging, good business savvy attitude is considered even more important to run a floral shop in a sense.
Of course making high end floral decorations such as wedding, funeral and corporate arrangements MAY be a little bit difficult without getting official training.
In case of wedding or event planners, they feel it very convenient to do a better jog if they have flower arranging skills. If you would like to improve your current flower arranging skill OR earn a better skill, why not join California Flower Art Academy where you can learn by way of semi private lesson (hands on training of ONE ON ONE instruction) limiting number of students to no more than 4 per class (typically only 2 to 3 students per class).
